Smoky Mountain Waterfall

Fall Getaway: Smoky Mountain National Park

Why hello again. Yep, 2015 is nearly over and I’ve barely blogged. I’ve made multiple attempts to get started again and I’m so far behind that each time it seems more and more daunting. At this point I think I pretty much give up on catching up and I may or may not get posts put together about everything I’ve been up to! 🙂 Continue reading

Best of 2014: Andrea’s Lens Recap

I’m a little late getting this out, but better late than never! One of my favorite things about blogging is that it makes it so easy to look back at the past few years and remember just how much has happened and changed. I also love following my stats and seeing which blog posts have the most views. It’s always so fascinating to me to see which posts generate the most interest. So, with no further adieu, here are my most popular blog posts of 2014! Continue reading

DIY Holiday Wreath

DIY: Fresh Christmas Wreath

It has been such a busy few months that blogging has fallen to the bottom of my priority list. Every time I thought about writing a post it felt more like work than fun so I decided to take a break. I have so many blog posts to catch up on, but I thought I should get in this post now or otherwise I’d have to wait a year! Continue reading

Beer Wine Food Festival

Out in Glendale: Beer, Wine, Food Festival

Last night Chris and I spent the evening at the Beer, Wine and Food Festival in Glendale. It was a great event and I wanted to write a post about it right away because you still have the chance to attend tonight. If you’ve never been to Glendale, it is such a cute , quaint town and was one of Ohio’s original planned communities. There are creative black squirrel statues around town and a really great town square, which is where the festival was held.

Cure Starts Now

It’s Free Ice Cream Day!

Cones for the CureToday is a pretty great day. Not only is it Friday, but it is free ice cream day at Graeter’s! If you aren’t from Cincinnati (or live in Dayton, Columbus, Lexington, Louisville or Indianapolis) I’m sorry for the free ice cream tease. If you ever visit Cincinnati you’ll have to make sure to treat yourself to some ice cream.

Graeter’s hosts two free ice cream days in September in support of Cones for the Cure which raises money for The Cure Starts Now. The Cure Starts Now is a wonderful organization that raises money for pediatric brain cancer research. I run in the Hyde Park Blast nearly every year which also supports The Cure Starts Now and I’m very happy to be able to do a little good with my blog and spread the news about this organization. Glendale Beer Wine and Food Festival: Bacon Edition

Festival season in Cincinnati starts early in the summer and doesn’t really wind down until late September when we have Oktoberfest Zinzinnati. From church festivals to neighborhood festivals there are no shortage of opportunities to get out and enjoy the weather with some good food, music and drinks. I’m really excited to attend a festival this weekend that I haven’t been to before, the Glendale Beer, Wine and Food Festival – Bacon Edition. Continue reading

Caribbean Travel: Excellence Riviera Cancun

Happy Labor Day! It’s hard to believe that it’s already the end of the summer. It seems like it has been just a blink of an eye since it was Memorial Day and I was on my way to Mexico for a little fun and relaxation. It has clearly been a busy summer since I am just getting around to writing about the trip! Continue reading
